Welcome

Welcome to my Pharmacy Technician blog. I started as a Pharmacy Technician student in June of 2009, after 13 years as a computer programmer, because I couldn't find a job in the computer field and decided to retrain to work in the health profession.

My original degree was in biology from U.C. Santa Cruz, and I got into programming because I couldn't find a job during the recession in 1993. I started doing computer work, and kept it up as a profession for 13 years until the work dried up in 2007.

So far, Pharmacy Technology is a demanding field. The classes require a lot of memorization of different drug names, and a lot of studying!
